An almost legendary show, but absolutely not secure. On August 26, 2024, a technician who worked on the set of “Vivement Dimanche” in Paris was seriously injured after falling ten meters. According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, an investigation was opened for security breaches. The set of the show presented by Michel Drucker was placed under seal, we were told at the time. It is still there almost two months after the events, reports Mediapart.

A dangerous operation for firefighters

It was around noon that the accident occurred at Gabriel studios. An intermittent show technician, who was changing a projector, fell around ten meters. This is the Research and intervention group in dangerous environments (Climb) firefighters who came to his aid, the victim having fallen into a concrete well. The injured person was finally extracted and taken care of by emergency services. He would still be hospitalized, one of his relatives confirms to us.

Several security breaches

If the tragedy could have been avoided, the questions remain. Of the sizeable shortcomings would have caused the technician to fall. “A failure to secure the pit, an absence of guardrails, barriers or even harnesses were noted,” the Paris prosecutor’s office told us. An investigation was entrusted to the 8th arrondissement police station and at the Regional Directorate of Economy, Employment, Labor and Solidarity (Drieets) to shed light on this matter.
