A series of explosions woke up the city of Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) this Monday, October 21 around 4 a.m., triggering a wave of reactions on social networks. More worry than “gravity”. These are truck tires which exploded, due to a fire in a truck depot.

The night was restless. Around 4 a.m., the sleep of Toulouse residents was disturbed by the sound of a series of explosions. Three explosions were heard. Reactions poured in on social networks.
The explosions did not go unnoticed. Immediately, Internet users tried to understand and get information.

The response to the concerns of Toulouse residents came from the Haute-Garonne fire and rescue service (SDIS 31). These are, in fact, “booms” linked to the explosion, under the effect of fire, of truck tires. Indeed, a violent fire set a truck depot ablaze.
At 4:07 a.m., Haute-Garonne firefighters responded to a violent heavy goods vehicle fire. The disaster occurred on Chemin de Gabardie, in Toulouse.
Despite the intervention of 27 firefighters, 7 heavy goods vehicles, belonging to the Spie Batignolles company, were destroyed. According to our colleagues from La Dépêche du Midi, the company’s management does not rule out a criminal trail. Note that Spie is working on the construction site of the future A 69 motorway.

Another fire, involving heavy goods vehicles, took place the same night in the Toulouse area. Shortly after midnight, three refrigerated truck trailers went up in smoke, Chemin de Novital, in the town of Saint-Jory.
