What if it had been better to lose? Tuesday evening, for its last match of the first round of the Ice Hockey World Cup, the Swiss team beat Finland 3-1. Oh, the Americans are inherently better, more experienced and otherwise talented: they swept the Germans 6-1 early in the tournament. But Germany remains the “black beast” of the Nati.
