Three people were found unconscious Saturday morning inside a vehicle stuck in a watercourse in the hinterland of Nouvelle, in Baie-des-Chaleurs.
The police officers of the MRC Avignon were called to go around 8:30 a.m. to a forest road in the Brébeuf sector where the vehicle in question was located.
The bodies of three people were found. They are a 38-year-old man and two women aged 25 and 34.
Their identity has not been revealed.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) confirms that the deaths are being treated as suspicious deaths.
An investigator from the Major Crimes Investigation Unit of the SQ and a forensic identification technician were therefore dispatched to the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of these deaths.
The authorities confirm that all hypotheses are currently being considered and that the investigation is continuing. No arrests had been made in connection with the discovery of these bodies late Saturday.
