Following the floods which affected the populations of Podor, Matam, Bakel and Tambacounda, Caliph Thierno Madani Tall spoke this Saturday, October 19, 2024. He expressed his deep solidarity with the victims and called on the State to act quickly to help affected families. The religious leader also launched an appeal to people of good will, inviting them to mobilize to provide support in these difficult times.
“I speak on behalf of all the caliphs of Senegal, without exception. I would first like to express my compassion towards these people who have lost loved ones, property, food and I call on the State of Senegal to accelerate further to save the affected families,” declared Thierno Madani Tall.
The religious leader launches the same appeal to “large traders, businessmen and all other people of good will and invites them to react. Mosques can serve as places for mobilizing aid.”
Finally, the Caliph recalls that the believer must give thanks in all situations before formulating prayers. “I pray to God that these rains will also be a boon for the Senegalese and that they will bring happiness and prosperity! »
