Four minors aged 15 to 16 and a young man aged 19 were indicted for the murder of an 18-year-old teenager whom they had ambushed in September in Antibes, the police said on Saturday judiciary of the Alpes-Maritimes. The victim, 18 years old, was killed by a stab wound to the chest. If the murder weapon was not found, clothing and a tear gas canister bearing a print had put investigators on the trail of the suspects. The facts date back to Saturday September 14, around 5 p.m., when the victim, near a commercial area of Antibes, “presented himself, prepared, for a romantic date with a young girl arranged through the network Snapchat and had been the victim of an ambush,” investigators said in their press release.
The young man was then lured by four individuals into the underground garages of a residence, and it was while fleeing his attackers that he was caught and then “collapsed following the fatal blow”, the police said. According to the first statements collected in police custody, the main suspect in the stabbing, a 16-year-old teenager who had barely been released from prison, indicated that he wanted revenge after having himself, several months earlier, been beaten. of blows in a similar ambush organized, according to him, by his future victim.
Before investigators, the 16-year-old girl used for the ambush claimed to have acted under duress from the alleged murderer, and without knowing the motive for this trap. The victim was known to the police for unspecified reasons.
