There remains only one department placed on orange vigilance, this Saturday, October 19, 2024. After the passage of storm Leslie, the is subject to a risk of flooding on the Garonne Dordogne confluence. The Bordeaux sector is the main affected, warns Météo .

” THE tidal coefficients reached their maximum on Friday (112) but remain high today (111 in the morning and 108 in the afternoon), leading to overflows on the sections under vigilance,” details the Gironde prefecture.

Up to 6.79 m

In the Bordeaux sector, on the Garonne – Dordogne confluence, water heights could reach between 6.42 m and 6.79 m at 9:45 p.m. “Significant overflows” are to be feared.

Overflows could also occur in and the Gironde estuary. They are expected to remain low to moderate, with water levels reaching between 5.53 m and 5,93 m at 10:45 p.m.

“Be vigilant if you are near a watercourse or an area usually prone to flooding,” reminds the prefecture. Obey road signs and don’t get involved on a submerged road, even partially. »
