DECRYPTION – Expected since September 26, this plan will allow the government to launch a vast call for tenders in the coming months.

The sky was blue and the sea calm off Fécamp this Friday. The wind was just enough to turn the blades of the 71 giant wind turbines, which rise 260 meters high off the coast. Three delegated ministers had made the trip – Olga Givernet, for Energy, Fabrice Loher, in charge of Fisheries and the Sea, and Marie-Agnès Poussier-Winsback, for Social and Solidarity Economy and former mayor of Fécamp -, to visit this offshore park off the coast of the Normandy city. The 71 machines have a power of 500 megawatts (MW). Enough to ensure the electricity supply of around 800,000 people.

Beyond the visit to the park, the ministers were present for an important event: unveiling the maritime planning of the French State. « This decision comes less than a month after the government took office, which demonstrates all the attention that the State devotes to it », was…
