The animal cause seems to be at the heart of the repression policy of the police station. Creil for a few weeks, even a few months. A new case of animal abuse was in fact revealed this week in the Oise. According to Courrier Picard, seven new dogs were torn from their shameful living conditions with a family in Nogent-sur-Oise.

Suspicions of illegal reproduction

Around fifteen police officers presented themselves in front of the gate of this unsanitary housing to carry out checks on Wednesday October 16.

An operation carried out in cooperation with volunteers from the SPA d’Essuiletat the origin of this report.

They then discovered the unthinkable: five dogs were piled up in a sort of landfill, among car partsincluding a pregnant female, suggesting illegal animal reproduction.

Central commissioner of the public security district

“The legal qualifications will be definitively determined at the end of the procedure,” he adds toOise Newssince the Senlis public prosecutor’s office was seized. Which reserves the right to initiate proceedings.

Owners, who could appear in court, risk a fine of 4th classeither 750 euros per dog. A ban on keeping an animal could also be imposed.

“The more operations we carry out, the more things become known”

A case which is reminiscent of others. On July 25, a similar operation had already been undertaken in two housing units. Villers-Saint-Paul. Around ten dogs and cats abandoned to their sad fate had been entrusted to animal protection associations.

Last month, two Malinois dogs living in inappropriate conditions were discovered without “water or food” by Creil police officers.

Are all these cases just the tip of the iceberg? Or are they simply more exposed in the media than before?

The central commissioner of Creil, Sébastien Chalvet, did not note any spectacular increase in this area.

“In my opinion, these practices have always existed and (unfortunately) in large numbers. The difference is above all that of the strengthening of the commitment of the National Police in this area for some time, having made it possible to establish effective links with animal protection associations and to train police officers on this subject,” explains he. And added: “The more operations and actions we carry out in this area, the more things are known and the more information we obtain. It’s a virtuous circle that needs to be sustained and further strengthened.”
