A new look at architecture with the Land of Art and History of the Corrèze Highlands and Ventadour

The Land of and History of the Corrèze Highlands and Ventadour is participating in the National Architecture Days, from October 18 to 20. Another look at heritage.

Because the knowledge and promotion of quality architecture are part of its essential missions, the Land of Art and History of the Corrèze Highlands and Ventadour will participate, for the first time from October 18 to 20, in the Days national architecture.

Four original meetings are on the program

. Starting on Friday October 18, at 6 p.m., in Lamazière-Basse, with the last of the season of the “Sacrés monuments” animation. An invitation to revisit the region’s churches, created to accompany the temporary exhibition “Sacred objects”, presented all summer at the Marius-Vazeilles archeology and heritage museum, in Meymac.

In Lamazière-Basse, it will combine a guided tour, contemporary dance with the Cie Le Pied en Dedans and a light projection by the artist Léonard Salle in the newly renovated building.

Site visits

Saturday October 19, two site visits will provide fresh perspectives on heritage and architecture. At 10 a.m. in Saint-Oradoux-de-Chirouze (23), it is a lime-hemp insulation project that the PAH will propose with the Lo Sanabao association, which defends the hemp sector in Limousin. The opportunity to discover this particular material and its use in old buildings.

At 3 p.m., in Rosiers d’Égletons, there will be talk of thermal renovation and exterior insulation with biosourced materials.

The great success of visits to electric dams in upper Corrèze

Finally, Sunday October 20 at 11 a.m., in Neuvic, the PAH will lead an architectural guided tour of the public garden. A unique opportunity, in conjunction with the municipality and the Third Place Collective, to rediscover the fountain, the courtyard or sculptures by Henri Proszynsky, a set commissioned by Mayor Henri Queuille in the 1930s.

Free. Information and reservations if necessary at 05.87.31.00.57 or pah.payshautecorrezeventadour.fr.
