On Wednesday October 16, the Department of Marne carried out the administrative closure for a period of 3 months of the Petits pas micro-crèches managed by SARL Clelia in Villers-aux-Nœuds. Confirming information from the Union newspaper, “reports have been sent to our Maternal Child Protection (PMI) department“.

“These reports are part of a context of limitation of the reception capacities of these structures and follow an inspection by the PMI dating from last October 2. These reports suggest probable acts of mistreatment committed by employees as well as practices aimed at hiding excess numbers of children during PMI passes”.

According to our colleagues from the Union, “lThe department received seven “authentic, consistent” testimonies reporting similar facts of a probable nature. These reports were transmitted to the Public Prosecutor who confirmed the opening of an investigation.

The Department explains the reasons for these closures. “This administrative closure proves necessary in view of the seriousness of the events and the non-conclusive nature of the responses formulated by the manager following the PMI’s injunctions (persistence of surplus, significant overtime of staff)”.

This delay should make it possible to shed light on the facts and protect the children. “These three months of closure will allow the smooth running of investigations by our services, in conjunction with State services, to ensure optimal reception and protection of children in the future. The Department also sent a reporting letter to the public prosecutor’s office under article 40 of the criminal procedure.

The PMI is currently informing the families concerned in order to organize the continuity of care for their children as best as possible.
