Sunday October 6, 2024 at Visseiche (Ille-et-Vilaine), the husband Georgeault celebrated a great birthday: their 70 years of marriage.

Bernadette and Fernand Georgeault were surrounded by their family and friends to celebrate these platinum wedding.

Former farmers

Fernand Georgeault was born in 1930 in Vilinco in Bais. Bernadette Diard was born in 1933 in La in Visseiche. Both were the son and daughter of farmers.

The couple married on October 7, 1954. Bernadette and Fernand Georgeault settled on Bernadette’s family farm in Visseiche. They remained there until their retirement in 1991.

Throughout these 70 years of life together, the couple involved in various municipal and cantonal associations.

Retired, Fernand works as president of the Visseiche Rural Seniors Club for 15 years.

Still remaining active today, they keep themselves busy with DIY, gardening, board games or games of belote with friends.

They enjoy all the moments of family life surrounded by their six children, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren who fill them with happiness.
