Thursday October 17 at 8 p.m.the association room will welcome residents, elected officials, professionals and all people interested in the future of local travel, to collectively think about solutions to meet mobility needs in the Arbois region.
Guillaume Petitjean, trainer at the CFPPA in Montmorot and master’s student in “Territorial management and local development” at the University of , will be the guest of this evening. He will present the results of his in-depth study on mobility in the Arbois region. This work, based on local surveys and discussions with various local stakeholders, provides a better understanding of the specific challenges the region faces in terms of travel. But the study also reveals interesting opportunities for rethinking mobility, by promoting solutions adapted to local realities and the expectations of residents.

Towards more sustainable and inclusive mobility

The association “Les Mobiculteurs et Mobicultrices”, already very active in promoting soft mobility within the Heart of Jura, will also be there. Their involvement demonstrates the importance of the transition towards more environmentally friendly modes of transport, a central issue for the attractiveness of the region and the quality of life of its inhabitants.
The event will take place in two stages. After the presentation of the study, round tables will allow each participant to share their ideas and contribute to the development of concrete solutions. Three main themes will be addressed: the development of local cooperation, the co-construction of a physical transport network, and intermodality, aiming to effectively combine different modes of travel.
