Malawi-Senegal tomorrow Tuesday: Ismail Jakobs released by the FSF for treatment

The Senegalese Federation (FSF) took Saturday to release Ismail Jakobs and make him available to his club. In a statement released this Saturday informed that the player suffered from a knee injury requiring non-surgical treatment and a period of rest.

“The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) informs the public that by mutual agreement with the Galatasaray Club and in the interest of the player Ismail Jakobs, it released the latter this Friday evening after his match against Malawi, so that he can do a non-surgical treatment of his knee which requires a rest period of several days,” she says.

This injury, announced by Galatasaray on October 5, did not, as we recall, prevent Jakobs from being started during the championship day the following day, October 6. The FSF had demanded the immediate release of the player so that he could return to the selection training camp in accordance with FIFA regulations. Ismail Jakobs wasted no time in leaving Istanbul and returned to his teammates the next day for the match against Malawi. The Senegalese left-back was even started by coach Pape Thiaw during the match against Malawi, before his injury was finally confirmed.
