Football – Coupe de France (5th round): Déville-Maromme played its luck bravely against QRM

GA big fan of FC , Naël Mathlouthi, was treated to a nice hug from David Carré, in front of the locker room at the Louis-Blériot stadium.

Shortly after the meeting which saw the National resident barely gain the upper hand over the Regional 2 player (2-0), the QRM coach chose laughter rather than reprimand when talking with the defender of the ALDM a scene which had taken place the day before: while he was working on set pieces with his players, the Queville coach surprised the Devillois filming the session, cell phone in hand. “Ah you recognized me”, #5 joked with the technician. Who therefore did not blame him, certainly because this “espionage” had not harmed the Leopards.

Adekalo unblocks the situation

If they did not necessarily shine on their offensive free kicks and their corners, the partners of Namakoro Diallo, latest arrival (from Nîmes) but already named captain, were able to do what was necessary to escape the trap set by Berat Tuncer and his men. After a while, all the same, since the locals first created a big opportunity following a header in front of the goal from Pierre Patron (6th), who achieved his baptism of fire in an official match with Quevilly-Rouen Metropolis. The twenty minutes that followed did not offer the best , even if the quality of the pitch and its dimensions were not of much help.

The Quevillais broke the deadlock after a reversal of play, an acceleration from Isaac Tshipamba on the left side and a conclusion, in two stages, from Noah Adekalom (0-1, 36th). This same Adekalom who was not far from the break in the process by taking back with first intention a cross coming from the right, which forced Noah Boulaye, the goalkeeper of Déville-Maromme (39th), to intervene. The 2-0 goal, in the end, came in the second half from the foot of Tshipamba, all alone at the far post to take a too-cross shot from Yassin Fortuné, after a high recovery from Benjamin Capron-Litique (0-2, 60th).

“I felt that the guys perhaps wanted to do too well”

“We clearly saw that there was still one more level compared to Granville (N2, eliminated by Déville-Maromme in the previous round), reacted Berat Tuncer, the ALDM coach. They managed to keep their backs round and make us doubt when they quickly projected themselves forward. It was perhaps too much walking but everyone is happy. We only stopped at the 5th round but I think we experienced more emotions than most of the teams who qualified this weekend. My little regret is that I felt that the guys perhaps wanted to do too well and I have the impression that it disturbed them a little. »

Without boasting, David Carré for his part appreciated the overall performance: “The qualification is important but there is also satisfaction with the content and the ingredients that we have included. We were present in the duels throughout the match and we didn’t make a mistake with our goal at 2-0, we didn’t have to expose ourselves and we remained very compact, especially in the middle. » Enough to build up a little confidence before facing the National leader () on Friday October 18 and then continuing with the 6th round of the Coupe de France (Saturday October 26 and Sunday October 27).
