For 5 days, the temple of events in western Paris transforms into a true paradise on Earth. And for good reason, Paris Expo is preparing to welcome an unmissable event for almost 30 years for all foodies: the Chocolate Salon. The opportunity to discover in depth the chocolate industry and its aspects all more greedy than the others.
A busy schedule
For this new editionthe Show is once again pulling out all the stops, or rather the small pods in the big onesto delight us. From harvest to packaging, around a hundred exhibitors have come together to deliver to us all the manufacturing secrets who hide behind the best that man has done: chocolate. It will also be an opportunity for visitors to enjoy live demonstrations carried out by some of the greatest master chocolatiers and pastry chefs at the moment, like Philippe Conticini, Nina Métayer or Merouane.
You can obviously take advantage of these 5 days to gorge yourself on chocolatebut also to admire real artists at work during the various competitions organized: the National Pastry Trophy French Chocolate Factorythe Master of Chocolate Bread or even the MAF (Best Apprentice in France) Chocolate Confectionery. Highlight of the show, the traditional parade of chocolate dressesworks as delicious as they are impressive, all hosted by an essential figure in French pastry: the famous Mercotte.
Themes and countries in the spotlight
And for this 2024 editionthe Salon du chocolat tackles a particular theme: that of time. A central subject for stakeholders in the sector, from plantations to consumers. Because growing and harvesting cocoa requires unparalleled patienceas well as the transformed into delicious tablets of pleasure. A very specific theme, while the event will celebrate turns 30 next year. Proof of this is that despite the decades that have passed since its discovery, our passion for chocolate does not stand the test of time.
And to make this meeting an ever more special eventthe Salon du Chocolat invites this year Saudi Arabia as country of honorto highlight all the flavors of the Middle East. A unique journey, which will continue throughout the activities during the 5 days. And for even more of a change of scenery, the traditional Space Japan also makes a comeback, for discover the entire Japanese gastronomic universe. All this made us hungry, we’ll meet on October 30, and in the meantime, we’re going to make 2 or 3 tablets.
