A 30-year-old man was sentenced to fifteen months in prison for hitting his eight-month pregnant partner, in front of their child, in (Pas-de-Calais). He is also prohibited from going near his home for two years, and he has been stripped of his parental authority, reports The Voice of the North this Thursday October 10, 2024.

A blow to his partner’s leg

On the evening of the events, September 30, this man, already under probation, was prohibited from going to the marital home. However, the police, called for a family dispute, found him in the apartment terrorizing his partner in front of their child. The latter declared having received a blow in the leg.

Before being arrested, the thirty-year-old also allegedly pushed a police officer. Allegations that he denied during the hearing, as well as those concerning domestic violence, report our colleagues. “It’s gone way too far”he conceded to the magistrate.
