A drama occurred in Seine-et-Marne this Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in the afternoon, duringa school trip. An 8 and a half year old girl, enrolled in CE2 at the elementary school of Samois-sur-Seine, made a heart attack on the edge of the swimming pool CNSDin Fontainebleau.

The child died

According to our information, the lifeguards saw that the little girl was tiring during the swimming session and got him out of the water. Unfortunately, his condition worsened. The firefighters, immediately alerted, provided him with a cardiac massage for around forty minutes then evacuated her to Fontainebleau hospital. Unfortunately, the child is deceased during its transfer.

“A family is devastated, and the teachers and facilitators are traumatized,” says a source close to the matter.

Psychological support

National Education, which sends its sincere condolences to the relatives of the little victim, will set up a psychological cell at school this Thursday, October 10, in the morning, for the children and the teaching team. The Country of Fontainebleau has also put in place support “for agents who feel the need and can benefit from the support necessary to overcome this tragic moment”.

“We all have a special thought for this child and for his family who are going through terribly trying times,” underlined Pascal Gouhoury, the president of the community of communes.

The sports establishment being military, the investigation was entrusted to the national gendarmerie.
