The anger of farmers in Île-de-France continues to grow. Several City signs of Paris were withdrawn and exchanged with those of other municipalities in the region, on the night of Tuesday October 8, 2024 to Wednesday October 9, 2024. With this action, farmers hope that their demands will be heard.
“The Government is leading us”
Since the mobilization last winterwhere they protested in the streets of the capital, farmers see no change in their operations. This is the reason why they carried out a new actionthis time nocturnal. Porte de Versailles (15e), the sign for the City of Paris was replaced by that of Grigny (Essonne).
Ditto Porte de Gentilly (13e), where this time, a sign from Massy (Essonne) now sits, and on which the farmers have stuck, like on all the others un sticker with the words “the Government takes us for a ride, let’s take the Government for a ride”.
With our colleagues from CLPRESS, present on site at the time of the action, the farmers made share their fears : “the anger is still great, the harvest was not very good this year […] on a really need help and we are in great distress.” If nothing changes, they plan to relaunch the movement and come back with the tractorsin the streets of the capital.
