This Saturday, the Olympic flame will stop in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. France 3 Provence-Alpes gives you in detail the places where you can see it pass.

After disembarking in Marseille on May 8 aboard the Belem and touring the city on May 9, the Olympic flame will be in the Var department this Friday, May 10. The relay will tour the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence this Saturday, May 11, for its third stage of the journey leading to Paris for the opening of the Games. Moustiers-Sainte-Marie

For its third stage in France, the Olympic torch will begin its journey in the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie from 9 a.m. on rue Frédéric Mistral. It will then pass through Avenue de Lénins, still in the center, crossing the town hall to go up to the Sainte-Anne chapel and finish its route at 9:20 a.m. at the Notre-Dame-de-Beauvoir chapel. All day long, activities will be organized, creative workshops, dance initiations and a ball at the end of the day. Please note, however, that traffic and parking are prohibited in the village center between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Sisteron

Five minutes later, the flame will be lit in Sisteron, at 9:25 a.m., at the Marres leisure center, located on the banks of the Durance. It will then head towards Avenue du Gand and skirt the tourist office, then Notre-Dame-des-Pommiers Cathedral to reach Notre-Dame-du-Château. The flame will then end its trip to Sisteron on the other side of the Durance at Rocher de la Baume. From here, 24 porters will take turns for a collective that is sporty to say the least, climbing the rock wall before stopping their race at 10:30 a.m.

Digne-les-Bains

Short lunch break, time to regain some strength, the Olympic flame will arrive in Digne-les-Bains from 12:10 p.m. First stop at the Haute-Provence Geopark, recognized by UNESCO, which it will be able to explore. It will then descend along the Palais des Congrès via Avenue du Front de Bléone. From the tourist office, it will pass in front of the Jean-Rolland stadium, lighting Avenue Simone-Pellissier. The Halle des Sports will not be forgotten in its journey. The flame will end its journey in Digne-les-Bains at the Férréols lake at 1:25 p.m., where festivities will be organized.

Colmars-les-Alpes

The torch will then be lit in Colmars-les-Alpes from 1:35 p.m. at Fort de Savoie. The torchbearers will then pass the flame through the fortified medieval city between the Porte de Savoie and the Porte de France. She will finally be welcomed in the Pré des Lices at 1:55 p.m. Throughout the day, spectators will be able to enjoy the giant climbing wall in the Olympic torch relay village, and the various sporting activities offered, such as breakdancing or mechanical surfing. Traffic will be interrupted on departmental road 908 when crossing Colmars-les-Alpes from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Forcalquier

After a break of a few hours, the Olympic flame will finally be re-lit at 4:30 p.m. in Forcalquier. It will complete a loop of approximately 3 km. It will start from the municipal swimming pool, avenue Claude-Delorme and will pass twice through the city center, passing by the town hall and Notre-Dame-du-Bourguet. The flame will finally go out at Place Martial-Sicard at 5:10 p.m.

Barquette

Head to Barcelonnette at 6 p.m., this Saturday, May 11. She will begin her journey at the Léon Signoret municipal stadium, take Chemin des Colporteurs and Allée du Champ de Foire to reach the Market Hall. The torch will continue its journey along Porfirio Diaz Avenue to the Valley Museum. It is at the town hall at 6:35 p.m. that she will finish her journey.

Manosque

The day will end in Manosque. The Olympic flame will be lit at 6:45 p.m. at the Les Iscles high school. It will then take Boulevard Charles-de-Gaulle. The embers will then heat the Porte Saunerie and the Porte de Soubeyran to finish its journey at the Jean Robert stadium at 7:20 p.m. Several porters have already been announced, Eva Berger, Ilyes Erario, Esther Baron and Karim Guerfi.

After having explored the length and breadth of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department, the Olympic flame will continue its course across France, passing through Bouches-du-Rhône the next day, to finally arrive in Paris on the 26th. July.
