A ComediHa festival! coming this summer to Montreal

To mark the 25th anniversary of ComediHa! Festival, ComediHa! is proud to announce that the City of Montreal will also be entitled to a comedy event this summer.

It’s about ComediHa! salutes Montrealan event that looks very promising!

From July 18 to 28, the festival will offer a multitude of activities at Festival Squareat the heart of Entertainment districtas well as the Place des Artsat theEspace St-Denis and also at Old Terrebonne Theater. Hundreds of thousands of citizens and visitors will have the opportunity to participate in this exceptional event.

Remember that in previous years, it was the festival Just for Laughs who hosted these dates. However, this year the event will not be held due to an application for protection under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, filed by the famous entertainment company.

“Montreal has always been a hub of the comedy industry with its cultural, tourist and economic benefits. It would have been inconceivable that our metropolis would not have a festival worthy of the name this summer. (…) On behalf of the industry, the comedy community and its many artisans, I sincerely thank them. Hello Montreal, we’re arriving on July 18!” says Sylvain Parent-BédardPresident and CEO of the company.

ComediHa! was able to save the day for many recently, since the company came to the aid of the musical comedy WAITRESS, by Jean-Marc Parent with its JMP event which moved to Quebec and now, thanks to it, people of Montreal will be treated to a comedy festival.

Although the program of the event remains unknown, one thing is certain: smiles, pleasure and humor will be there!
