The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Geneviève Guilbault, defended her new project to create the Mobilité Infra Québec body on the show “Le Bilan”.

“Citizens are tired of hearing us talk about the same things,” she explained on LCN.

She and the Minister responsible for Infrastructure, Jonathan Julien, announced a new strategy to accelerate the construction of public infrastructure.

“We want to create a small, truly agile, expert team focused on autonomy, innovation, results and productivity,” she said.

By creating the new body, the minister wishes to “keep the best talents in public transport”.

“Expert resources in public transportation are not infinite in Quebec,” she adds.

According to her, there is a dispersal of assets.

Who will be first?

It is obvious that there must be projects in the east of Montreal, on the South Shore or in Quebec, believes the minister.

“I want to deliver projects, that’s what has obsessed me for a year and a half,” she says.

It is not excluded that the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec carries out work in collaboration with Mobilité Infra Québec, underlines Ms. Guilbault.

Ms. Guilbault aims for the new body to be on track in 2025.
