Algeria denounces the support of European countries for Morocco

Algeria is unhappy with European countries which have expressed their intention not to respect the decision rendered by the Court of Justice of the European Union concerning the cancellation of fishing and agricultural agreements with Morocco, due to of the lack of consent of the Sahrawis.

These countries “fundamentally do not believe in the United Nations doctrine regarding the protection of the resources of Non-Self-Governing Territories, stating that they do not respect the decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union, which reflects a lack of consideration on their part for the relevant rules of international and European law,” believes Algeria. This intends to change their position.

Algeria says it expects “European countries, as well as the European Commission and the Council of the European Union, which have established respect for the rule of law as a fundamental pillar of European external action, that they fully conform to the spirit and letter of the decisions handed down by the Court of Justice of the European Union in their final form, not allowing any further recourse or appeal.”
