Find out everything about the event ????

A feminine hotel, a human choice

Since its reopening in 2016, the Home Swiss Hotel has gradually built up an all-female team, a particularity which imposed itself naturally. Indeed, the establishment is managed by a trio of women, headed by Julie Anne Cottin, who has been its director since March 2017. If the team is exclusively female, this has never been a deliberate recruitment criterion. .

“It wasn’t necessarily a choice, but above all we were looking for human qualities, a certain gentleness and warmth in the welcome, traits that we often find in women”

Julie Anne Cottin

This 100% feminine character is, today, a real strength for the hotel, both in terms of internal management and in customer relations. At the heart of this dynamic? Communication, the director explains to us. A “strength that promotes better collaboration and understanding within the team,” she emphasizes. This mutual listening strengthens cohesion between employees and is reflected in the quality of service offered to customers.

“There is perhaps a little more empathy, which allows us to offer a tailor-made service and make our customers feel ‘at home’”

Julie Anne Cottin

A special attention therefore which constitutes one of the signatures of the hotel, often recognized by a loyal clientele sensitive to this caring approach.

Although the hotel does not offer specific measures such as menstrual leave or extended maternity periods, Julie Anne Cottin emphasizes the importance of listening within the team.

“We listen to our employees and do our best to ensure that they find the perfect balance between their professional life and their family life”

This flexibility, combined with careful management of individual needs, helps to create a harmonious working environment, where each member of the team can flourish.

A natural commitment to Pink October

The link between the Home Swiss Hotel and the event We pose for pink was tied almost spontaneously. The enthusiasm was immediate from the team, tells us Sonia Candolfi, volunteer photographer and organizer of the event.

“When I contacted Cécile, I immediately felt the enthusiasm. And that was decisive in choosing the hotel”

For the hotel’s female team, this cause resonates in a very special way. “As women, we are all affected by breast cancer. We all know someone, near or far, who has gone through this ordeal,” confides Julie Anne Cottin. For her, as for her assistant Cécile, this participation is obvious.

“It’s not much for us, but it’s a lot for these women who are going through a difficult time in their lives, and to support research”

Julie Anne Cottin, hotel manager

A place of solidarity and humanity

More than just a hotel, the Home Swiss Hotel thus becomes a full-fledged player in the mobilization for Pink October. In a warm and human atmosphere, the establishment reflects the values of solidarity and mutual aid which drive each member of its team. Participants in this Geneva edition of On pose pour le rose will therefore have access to two apartments as well as the terrace for the proposed photo sessions.

The event on October 12, which will welcome women who come to pose for the cause, is part of this dynamic of support and visibility, a moment of sharing where each photo will symbolize a step towards greater awareness.
