Paris 2024 unveils the official musical theme of the Olympic and Paralympic Games composed by Victor le Masne, on the occasion of the Olympic Flame welcoming ceremony in Marseille on May 8

Paris 2024 has chosen Victor le Masne as Musical Director of the four ceremonies and Composer of the official musical theme of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games

Renowned for his talent and innovation in the musical field, Victor le Masne wrote and composed a captivating official musical theme, subtly combining symphonic and electronic sounds, embodying the dynamic and universal spirit of the Paris 2024 Games.

The official musical theme of the Paris 2024 Games, entitled “Parade”, will be performed on May 8 at 7:30 p.m., during the arrival of the Olympic Flame in Marseille, played live exceptionally by the Marseille orchestra from the Palais du Pharo and thus marking the start of the Games celebrations in France. This musical theme, which will be found throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games, was recorded with the French National Orchestra as well as the Choir and Masters of Radio France. He will do resonating all the emotions of sport in a catchy melody which will accompany all the highlights of the Games from the arrival of the Olympic Flame in Marseille, at each stage of the Relay, to the competition sites. This official musical theme will be available in a plurality of versions with evolving sounds and rhythms depending on the occasion.

Victor le Masne also works alongside Thomas Jolly as Composer of the four Games ceremonies Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics which will each have their own sound identity, inspired by the official musical theme. In 2022, Victor le Masne was already working alongside Thomas Jolly as the musical director of the famous Rock Opera “Starmania” for which he created the new arrangements.

Victor le Masne has also already collaborated with Paris 2024 on the occasion of the handover ceremony between the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Games with a brilliant re-orchestration of the Marseillaise performed by the Orchester National de France.

BIOGRAPHY

In twenty years of career, Victor le Masne has established himself as a key player in contemporary music. Champion of the neo French Touch with the duo Housse de Racket, he has become an ambassador for an internationally recognized French musical signature and is one of the most influential French music producers of his generation.

Throughout his collaborations, he has provided musical direction, composition and arrangements for artists such as: Juliette Armanet, Kavinsky, Gaspard Augé (Justice), Philippe Katerine, and has notably accompanied Metronomy and Chilly Gonzales on various projects.

Versatile, Victor le Masne is an experimenter, capable of composing for all genres and all musical groups, from pop groups to symphony orchestras.
