Val-d’Oise-Yvelines: bus drivers from Argenteuil and Montesson have returned to work

They went on strike for two weeks. Employees of the Keolis Argenteuil Boucles de Seine bus network returned to work on Monday May 6. An agreement to end the conflict was signed on Friday by three union organizations (CGT, FO and Sud) with the management of the company. “This fight was hard but the victory is all the more beautiful,” salutes the CGT leaflet. And the end of a hassle for users of the lines served by the drivers of the Argenteuil and Montesson depots which were almost at a standstill.

The main demand of the strikers concerned remuneration. Mandatory annual negotiations had led to disagreement. Management proposed a 2.4% general increase. Unacceptable for the trade union organizations which argued that inflation had reached 4.9% in 2023.

The end-of-conflict agreement provides for a general increase of 2.5% retroactive to January 1. Employees will then receive 0.5% more salary from July 1. A presence bonus of 30 euros gross per month will also be put in place (it will be paid in full to agents who have not experienced any downtime during the month). Drivers will also receive a bonus of 10 euros gross when they have not had an accident during the month. An increase in overtime is planned until next September. Executives will receive a 130 euro tutoring bonus and one additional day of leave per year. Their meal vouchers will be revalued by 4%.

Two unions (Unsa and CFE-GCG) have not signed this agreement. “The employees were not consulted,” believes Magna Jacquens, elected Unsa. The day the other union organizations decided to sign, there were perhaps ten employees present. » She indicates that her union was prepared to strike longer to obtain more. “Two weeks without pay is complicated but we were ready to go all the way,” she adds.
