Friday September 20, 2024, it is in the presence of many elected officials from the territory of Pré-Bocageand Adrien Richard, secretary general of the sub-prefecture of Vire, which took place the inauguration of the village hallentirely renovatedfrom Brémoy, in Calvados.
A school that became a party hall
After welcoming the guests, Mayor Alain Legentil, surrounded by members of the municipal council and the architect Alexandre Lebastard, told the story of this old school turned village hall.
We are gathered in this old school inaugurated on May 8, 1938 by Eugène Lamy, the mayor at the time. It was then closed, due to lack of staff, in 1989. After that, the building was converted into a village hall, but I will not hide from you that it was very energy intensive. This is why the municipal council decided to completely renovate it, including interior insulation, to preserve the authenticity of the building.
€181,000 of work
The total cost of the work amounts to 181 000 € TTC. State aid was available within the framework of the Green Fund and the departmental council with the APCR (aid for small rural communities).
We will receive €31,400 from the Green Fund and €80,000 from the APCR. We also took advantage of this energy renovation to carry out an expansion. The municipality is proud of this achievement, but all this work could only be carried out with the aid we receive. The amount of work is very substantial, but the life of our small communities depends on the aid we can receive, I thank you again for your support.
This room can be used by residents and associations of Brémoy, but also for seminars, banquets, expositionsand is open to location.
