New Year's Eve and election of the queen in sight in Passais-Villages

During this meeting on October 29, 2024, the members of the festival committee of Pass-the-Conceptiondelegated municipality of Passais-Villages (Orne) have prepared the New Year's Eve meal which will take place Tuesday, December 31, from 8 p.m., in the multicultural room. This will be ensured by the House Le Métayer d'Avranches and musical entertainment by Guillaume Nocture. The price has been set at €97. Election of the queen and her dauphines

The festival committee will also organize a dancing meal with orchestra on Saturday February 22, 2025, at the Passais-la-Conception gymnasium. On this occasion, the guests will elect the reine and the dauphines for the district meeting which will take place on August 24, 2025 in the town.

This election is open to young girls from the canton of Passais aged 18 to 25 and from 16 years old with parental authorization.

Young girls who have not been contacted by the festival committees can make themselves known at 06.13.12.01.56. Cards for this evening will be on sale by the festival committees.

A 150 year old tradition

For the record, the district comice is a 150-year-old tradition. The organization rotates every year. It is the responsibility of the cantonal capital of the former district of Domfront (Athis-de-l'Orne, Domfront, La Ferté-Macé, Flers, Juvigny-sous-Andaine, Passais, Messei and Tinchebray). In 2025, this great celebration will take place in Passais-la-Conception. On the program: the agricultural competition on Saturday and the big cavalcade of floats and brass bands on Sunday. The floats are made by the inhabitants of the 8 municipalities of the canton which hosts the event. They are lit up for the evening parade. The party ends in style with a fireworks display.
