This Saturday, October 5 from 8 p.m., the Saint-Pierre ice rink will experience its first Coupe de ice hockey match in its history. The Missiles therefore welcome the Coqs de , who set foot on the local ice in training this Friday.

They arrived at Saint-Pierre airport Thursday evening, after boarding in France in the morning. All amateurs, they took vacation days to come and play this first round of the French Hockey Cup thousands of kilometers from the Parisian suburbs.

After a night of rest, the 17 players and staff of the Coqs de Courbevoie discovered the ice rink on Friday morning, with a few observers from the Missiles. An ice rink which will be full with nearly 700 spectators to attend this event, 1st round of the French Ice Hockey Cup in history played in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. And for the Courbevoie players this match will also be special because they are not used to playing in front of so many people, an audience of supporters who are obviously all fans of the local Missiles team.

The fact remains that the Coqs de Courbevoie have warned: “They discovered Saint-Pierre with pleasure, but did not come as tourists”. This promises…
