MEPs expressed, on Friday, their indignation following the judgments of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) on the fishing and agricultural agreements between the EU and Morocco, noting that this decision “harms economic interests Europeans”.

The CJEU gave in to the demands of the “terrorists of the Polisario Front” on the Sahara and “harmed European and Moroccan economic interests”, while violating “the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco”, reacted on the social network , French MEP Nicolas Bay, vice-president of the European Parliament delegation to the Africa-EU Parliamentary Assembly.

“Morocco remains the most reliable partner in North Africa and the EU’s sole interlocutor for all political and commercial issues,” commented MEP Tomáš Zdechovský, from the European People’s Party (EPP) group in the European Parliament.

According to him, the “Polisario” is a “threat to the stability and security of the EU neighborhood”.

“Sad day for Europe”, wrote, for his part, MEP Thierry Mariani, noting that everyone understood that the Sahara is Moroccan “except the Court of Justice of the EU”.
