With departures every twelve minutes, the events will begin at 8:30 a.m., and will end until the last group returns at around 5 p.m. An event that Gilles Gros, president of the Everest Flying-Disc Club Pontarlier, and Geoffroy Maxime, are happy to host. “It was quite natural that we applied since we had already wanted to organize a French champion for some time,” explains Gilles Gros.

Two Pontissalians selected

While more than 110 players are expected in this championship, it will be the first time that the Everest Flying-Disc Club will welcome so many participants. Among them, two Pontissaliens will compete, Mickaël Rolin and the president of the club, Gilles Gros, in the over 50 category. “I had stopped practicing for a long time due to certain health concerns, but today, I am very happy to be back in action,” confides the latter, before admitting to being concerned about the weather. “Even if I’m going there without necessarily wanting to win, the fact that we recently had snow on the field is not motivating,” he smiles.
