The Ceps d’or ceremony for the Jura vineyards took place on Friday May 3 in Arbois. Created at the initiative of Jura Tourisme and the Jura Interprofessional Wine Committee, this first edition rewarded local players who have distinguished themselves in the field of wine tourism.

With these new Ceps d’or from the Jura vineyards (destination labeled Vignobles & Découvertes), the aim was to highlight local players who work on a daily basis to put in place strong, original wine tourism proposals adapted to the demands of the region. customer base. A first selection carried out this winter by Jura Tourisme and the Jura Interprofessional Wine Committee resulted in three nominees in each of the three categories (best wine tourism service, best wine-responsible service and best wine and food service of the year).

Chaired by Gérôme Fassenet (president of Jura Tourisme), the jury composed of Jean-Charles Tissot (president of the CIVJ), Christian Vuillaume (Jura wine tourism sector), Patrick Franchini (president of Umih Jura), Isabelle Corondpeintre (Côte-d ‘Or Attractiveness), Cécile Terrien (Vignobles & Découvertes) and Olivier Jacquet (Unesco “Culture and Traditions of Wine” chair at the University of Burgundy) finally awarded four gold vines during the ceremony. Trophies designed and produced by Ekinox Design, a metal craftsman based in Lons-le-Saunier.

And the winners are…

The Savagnin Golden Cepwhich rewards a service combining tourist activity and discovery of Jura wines, was awarded to Domaine Rolet in Arbois for its gourmet walks in the vineyards around Montigny-lès-Arsures and its Rock’n’Rolet festival at the cellar in Montesserin.

The Golden Cep Keychaindedicated to environmental responsibility, was awarded to Domaine de la Pinte in Arbois for its La Table de Pierre program, a personalized day in the footsteps of Pierre Martin, who converted the estate to organic in 1999.

The Golden Cep Poulsard was awarded to the Castel Damandre restaurant in Planches-près-d’Arbois for knowing how to combine its gastronomic creations and the range of Jura wines in a very rewarding way.

Finally, a Vine of honor returned to La Finette, a pioneering Arbois tavern that practically invented wine tourism when it opened in 1961.
