Program for the Nuit Blanche 2024 at the Saint-Eustache church in Paris:

  • In collaboration with the Bourse de Commerce
In resonance with the theme of overseas territories honored by Nuit Blanche this year, Pinault Collection highlights the French artist Pol Taburet, with the presentation of his work My Eden’s Pool (2022). Exhibited in the Sainte-Agnès Chapel of the Saint-Eustache church, this recent painting takes up the iconography of Christ carrying the cross, which Pol Taburet diverts by placing on it the gaze of a young generation keen to continue representing the black body . On a flamboyant yellow solid, the artist brings out the contorted body of a hybrid creature, but also a head deprived of a body – two spectral presences both disturbing and burlesque which offer new stories as much as they testify to the influences of the artist. This work from the Pinault Collection will be shared with the faithful and visitors to the church during Nuit Blanche, June 1, 2024.
