A cyclist was found dead near Place du 12 Septembre in Neuchâtel. He lost control of his bike and fell down a low wall, at the foot of which his body was found on Sunday around 7:00 a.m., the cantonal police and the public prosecutor said on Monday.
The rescuers who arrived on the scene could only note the death of the unfortunate man, a 54-year-old man living on the Neuchâtel coast. The accident required, in addition to emergency services, the engagement of two police patrols and specialists from the accident technical group (GTA).
The Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of the tragedy, the press release specifies.
