100 certified events are planned in Isère during 2024, including several this month, as part of the day of action against risks.

On October 13, the day of action against risks will resume. This event, which aims to raise citizens’ awareness of all natural and technological risks, is linked to another specific day: the United Nations International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction. “Isère is a department particularly exposed to different types of natural risks, with the exception of cyclones and marine submersions.“, recalls the prefecture, in a press release.

In this context, a call for projects was launched to encourage the organization of awareness-raising initiatives throughout (workshops, conferences, artistic events, etc.). Some of them are then labeled. They therefore gain visibility thanks in particular to an interactive map dedicated to this event, also called National Resilience Day (JNR).

In 2023, Isère was the 1st department in France in terms of number of labeled events, with nearly a hundred recorded actions which mobilized elected officials, schools and the general public.“, also underlines the prefecture. For the year 2024, 100 events have been certified. They are distributed throughout the year.

Many of them take place this month, “resilience month”. The program is available here.
