The request for a provisional injunction against the McGill University camp in Montreal rejected last Wednesday gave fuel to the campers, according to the young man. “It was good news. »

Around 2:15 p.m., a gathering of demonstrators led by the Montreal branch of the Palestinian Youth Movement took place in front of Concordia University. Nearly a hundred people gathered there when The Press. The group intended to return to the camp. “We are here for support. This is the only way to put pressure on universities,” said a demonstrator.

Prime Minister François Legault reiterated Friday that the “illegal camp” must be dismantled. The demonstrators are demanding that the university sever all ties with Israel. Midweek, McGill University management asked protesters to leave campus.
