In a context where recurrent droughts threaten Morocco’s food security, optimal water management is more crucial than ever for the agricultural sector. To address this issue, AgriEdge is launching the “Act for AgWater” initiative, an ambitious approach that integrates digital technologies to support water governance on farms.

The challenges posed by the scarcity of water resources require innovative solutions. Agriculture, being a pillar of the national economy, requires rigorous water management to guarantee sustainable yields. By integrating modern technological tools, it is possible to optimize the use of this precious resource.

L’Initiative « Act for AgWater »

The “Act for AgWater” initiative stands out for its main strategic axes, aiming to transform water management in agriculture. First of all, it emphasizes the technological capacityby disseminating digital solutions adapted to farmers through partnerships with local distributors, in order to familiarize them with the modern tools available.

At the same time, training sessions will be organized for all actors in the agricultural value chain, in collaboration with specialized institutions, ensuring continuous learning and appropriation of best practices.

The initiative also includes a component ofinnovationthanks to the Farming Innovation Program, which develops digital solutions to optimize water use on farms.
To encourage the exchange of ideas and synergy between different actors, the organization of the “Agri Water Days” scientific congress promotes interactions between researchers, start-ups and farmers, thus creating a dynamic ecosystem of innovation at the service of sustainable agriculture.

A Measurable Impact

The “Act for AgWater” initiative will extend over a period of 10 months and aims for concrete results: training 10,000 farmers, mobilizing 250 young people to innovate in the irrigation sector and covering 150,000 hectares thanks to the digital platform “AgWater Edge.”

Faissal Sehbai, Managing Director of AgriEdge, said: “We want to help mitigate the impact of water stress on our farmers. This initiative puts our AgTech expertise at the service of the farmer to maximize the yield of each drop of water. »

With the “Act for AgWater” initiative, AgriEdge is positioning itself as a key player in the transition to sustainable and resilient agriculture in Morocco. By combining innovative technologies and a collaborative approach, this approach promises to significantly improve water management, thus guaranteeing a more serene future for the Moroccan agricultural sector.
