Originally from Guyana, Yvanne began her career in the social sector at the Félix Eboué Therapeutic, Educational and Pedagogical Institute (ITEP), within the Groupe SOS Jeunesse association. Passionate about educational work, she has gained many experiences within the association by occupying various positions, notably in an emergency reception, a social children’s home and in foster care.

Alongside her professional and family responsibilities, Yvanne obtained her instructor-educator diploma. She then validated her experience as a specialized educator, before pursuing a master’s degree in Practice and Engineering of Education, Work and Social Action by taking evening courses. Graduated in 2020, she joined the SOS Solidarités Group as head of department at the Therapeutic Coordination Apartments.

“What I appreciate here is the possibility of moving, of not being stuck in one role. We are encouraged to evolve, to train… This association really trusts us and gives us a chance”she explains.
