In the campaign of Châteaugiron, near Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine) are hiding two cottages whose vocation it is impossible to suspect.

Their names: The Unspeakable and The Audacious. Pushing the doors of these two accommodations, you quickly enter a very romantic atmosphere. Everything is thought of in the decoration and services to have a intimate and naughty moment as a couple.

Behind these love rooms, open since March, we find two couples: Vincent and Fanny Crocq and Benoît and Aurélie Crocq. Together, they created a family SARL The Secrets of the House.

“It’s good to be able to isolate yourself as a couple”

The adventure began two years ago for them. “It all started with the death of a neighbor. The house was offered to us,” explains Vincent Crocq, also a dairy farmer and cheese maker in Hautes-Marettes.

Quite quickly a project emerged: to make it into housing, but not only that. “We made two accommodations to rent year-round in the main house. In the other, we wanted overnight accommodation, because it is more profitable. We said to ourselves why not make a romantic gîte,” continues Vincent Crocq.

“We tested it and we found it good to be able to isolate ourselves as a couple, without the children for example,” smiles Fanny Crocq, who works at the Local Mission in Vitré.

By looking here and there at what was happening nearby, they noticed that availability was sometimes quite far away. So the demand is there. “We saw thatthere was a lack », specifies Vincent Crocq.

The stable transformed into love rooms

Between the idea and the opening a few weeks ago, the project took a long time to come to fruition. “The first year, we did the two accommodations and the second year, we did the two love rooms,” explains Fanny Crocq.

The part which accommodates L’inqualifiable and L’audacieuse is an old stable. The renovation work was therefore colossal. 200,000 euros were invested.

“We are on a high-end service, so it has to be eye-catching. We used quality materials so that people feel good there. We wanted to have this cocooning side,” explain Fanny and Vincent Crocq.

Farm cheese on the boards

L’inqualifiable and L’audacieuse are two love rooms from 75 m2 and 52 m2. The first can accommodate two to four people. The second, two people.

Each has a spa and outdoor space. The largest benefits from a spa area. Furthermore, everything is thought of, even certain accessories – like this hanging swing – for a romantic and naughty getaway.

“It’s not a wild place. This remains classy, even subjective, but it’s not vulgar », describes Fanny Crocq.

No connection therefore with La Petite Cheminée, a libertine club in Saint-Aubin-du-Pavail, located nearby.

During this getaway, couples will also be able to take advantage of options such as charcuterie and cheese boards, a bouquet of roses or even a secret box.

“We make the sets. For the cheese, there is the tome, the goat from Marettes and everything that is fresh and matured in goat from the cheese factory,” announces Vincent Crocq.

Finally a Champagne bottle East included in the reservation.

“Discretion is sought”

For those who are wondering, discretion is required here. People or couples who enjoy love rooms benefit from a total privacy during their stay. “There are key boxes for arrival and people are independent. Discretion is sought and we have no contact with them,” smiles Vincent Crocq.

It’s true that you can’t be more discreet in the middle of the countryside.

Additional income

For the two forty-year-old couples, this project is a “gamble”. They all kept their activity on the side. “It’s easier with four people to get started. We share management,” says Fanny Crocq.

With Les Secrets de la Casa, the family SARL also hopes to generate income.

“It is also to ensure a slightly better retirement than that which awaits us in the agricultural sector. We have our backs,” says Vincent Crocq.

And this bet is off to a pretty good start. “We didn’t think we would make so many reservations and we have great reviews! », rejoices Fanny Crocq.
