A major gourmet event in the fall, the Cévennes Apple and Sweet Onion Fair will celebrate its 30th edition on Sunday October 20, 2024 in Vigan.
This event presents the new harvest of apples and sweet onions from the Cévennes. Around the great pyramid, the large local market takes place each year where more than 120 farmers, breeders and artisans invite you to discover their know-how. A great celebration where quality lovers can discover excellent products: onion soup, sweet Cévennes onion fritters, chestnut, pélardon, truffle or fig specialties…

Throughout the squares and alleys, demonstration and tasting workshops awaken the senses of gourmands and gourmets. A fair with an ever more festive program where fanfare, ballet, parade of brotherhoods and street entertainment punctuate visitors’ strolls. Stroll through ‘Le Grand Marché des Producers’ from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. with more than 120 exhibitors, all producers, breeders, farmers and artisans. Buy Cévennes sweet onions and Reinette apples from the Origine Cévennes Cooperative at “fair” prices.
