Villefranche-de-Rouergue. A hotly contested round of the French championship

With the site of the Madeleine fair as a starting point, it was in a well-regulated choreography, under the orders of the starter, that the 400 drivers respectively went to the locations of the two timed specials (Sanvensa and Lac de Morlhon). ). Two very technical circuits, leaving much to the dexterity of the drivers. They never stopped pulling off a masterful stunt, to the delight of a large audience, who thanks to flawless organization, could have seen everything on all the circuits with a single glance. Between each round (4 in total) the drivers had to return to the starting point by following connecting routes, scrupulously respecting the Highway Code.

In the end, everything went without a hitch. In the evening the different categories received their awards from local elected officials. Note that the Villefranchois pilots as well as the pilots of the Excellence Moto pole of the Lycée François Marty have climbed to the highest steps of the podium several times. An event possible thanks to the hundred volunteers, to the president of the MCR (Moto Club Rouergat) Benoît Lagarrigue and his team, and finally to the pilots who sometimes come from very far away. A day that should call for others.

Men’s podium: Gascuel Nicolas, Jérome Calvignac (MCR), Bobineau Grégoire.
