The European elections are approaching in . On June 9, the French are called to the polls to elect European deputies. Although the lists are national, several candidates come from Oise. HAS , Mohamed El Aiyate made a place for himself on the party list Ecology at the center, by Jean-Marc Governatori. This Beauvais entrepreneur and president of the Beauvélo association was already a candidate in the last legislative elections. He intends to continue to make himself and his vision of ecology known in the region.

Ecology at the center “it’s an ecological movement open to everyone except the extremes“, he summarizes. On its website the party specifies “neither ecoviolence, nor EELV, nor Macronie, nor Nupes, nor RN“. Although he has been present on the political level for some time now, Mohamed El Aiyate wants to be close to the general public. “People don’t want politics anymorehe assures. I have been employed, I have been unemployed… I know what it is like to come from the bottom.»

Food, industrial and energy sovereignty

On the program side, his party advocates “food sovereignty“. “Why do we look for things elsewhere when we have them at home?», asks the candidate. “We must regain food, industrial and energy sovereignty.»

On this subject, he is not against nuclear energy, which divides the green parties. “It’s common sense», Judges the Beauvaisian.

Mohamed El Aiyate is also very interested in mobility. He would like to develop rail transport from the prefectural town of Oise. “We have the impression that Beauvais is the terminus», he regrets. He would like an -Beauvais- axis. And “ can help“, according to him. Still in mobility, he is in favor of the Seine Europe canal.

Preparing for municipal elections?

Since the launch of his campaign, Mohamed El Aiyate has been campaigning on the market and communicating his political positions by all means. But does not expect to be elected to the European Parliament. “We know very well that on these issues, it is the big machines that win. If we reach 5% that’s great», he hopes. But this at least allows him to make himself known a little more in the region. Especially since the municipal elections are also approaching. A goal for him?

I watch», he answers soberly. “I want to do things, to move forward with my city», recognizes the Beauvaisian. But it is still too early to associate yourself with either candidate.
