Aged 47, the suspect was arrested and taken into police custody. Referred this Friday morning, he should appear in the afternoon before the Montpellier judicial court.

What is the percentage chance of coming across your car in town when it has just been stolen? History doesn’t say it but the result must be almost zero…

And yet, this Thursday, May 2 around 10 a.m., a Montpellier woman, who went to the police station to file a complaint for vehicle theft, recognized her red Fiat 500 in the flow of cars.

While following her, she alerted the national police officers who joined her and arrested the thief, around 10:15 a.m., on Quai Laurens in the Antigone district.

Without a license but with drugs on him

In this case, a 47-year-old from Montpellier, without a driving license, was found in possession of three bags of cocaine and several pieces of cannabis resin.

After being interviewed in police custody, the prosecution ordered his release this Friday morning. Apparently with a view to a presentation at the hearing of the immediate appearances of the Montpellier judicial court, immediately.
