“Most of the people we welcome during these open days are young people leaving 3rd year who want to continue their work-study studies in CAP, others who already have a professional baccalaureate and wish to continue in BTS or even people who wish resume studies in a field that suits them”, summarizes Gauthier Bergeret, regional director of training within the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Burgundy Franche-Comté, speaking of the doors organized this Saturday, May 4 within the 10 training centers in the greater region, including four in Franche-Comté (Besançon, Vesoul, Trévenans and ).

All for around a hundred training courses offered, including 70 in apprenticeship or continuing education, from CAP to Bachelor (bac + 3), and around thirty qualifying courses in short format (two days on average). This in sectors ranging from commerce and management to beauty and the arts, including hotels and restaurants, food, automobiles, services and personal services.

Knowing that the regional CMA is currently training 2,500 apprentices throughout the greater region, craft businesses having represented €12 billion in turnover in 2022 in Burgundy Franche-Comté.

“More and more reconversions”

If these open days bring together between several dozen and several hundred visitors depending on the site, the regional training manager of the CMA observes that “yes, we have more and more people who have higher diplomas and are returning to study to do a craft profession, in pastry, bakery, etc. »

Knowing that at the start of the school year next September, several new training courses will be offered: two BTS (SME and NDRC management, negotiation and digitalization of customer relations) and three Bachelors (tourist establishment manager, business development manager, and customer advisor in insurance and financial products).

Openings which, underlines Gauthier Bergeret, “also correspond to the needs expressed by craft businesses, such as the BTS in SME management, which is in high demand by entrepreneurs who need administrative support”.
