Back after serving his suspension in , Jonathan Gradit is wary of and looks ahead to the end of the season. Above all, the RC defender reveals his truths about the comparison which he considers incessant and unfair with the previous exercise.

Marseille, a hammer blow

“I wasn’t with the group, but the team was affected after the defeat in Marseille, knowing that we had a shot at the standings. We were frustrated because we could have done better at the end of the and kept this important point. Unfortunately, we didn’t, and now it’s up to us to make up for what we lost. That requires a victory against Lorient.

Turn the page on the 2022-2023 season

If there is more wear than last season? Honestly, I’m tired of talking about last season. We’re three days from the end, we’re still talking about it. We’ve heard about it all season. That’s what’s especially tiring, comparing yourself to last season. We did extraordinary things last season, today is a new season. Obviously, there is wear and tear. But it makes sense at the end of a season. We had a lot of things happen, a lot of complicated ups and downs. We have always been able to react, we hope that this will be the case against Lorient. I needed to say this because I’m starting to get tired of talking about last season, I feel like we can’t stop. I think it also had an impact on the new people who arrived and who always heard comparisons. It’s tiring at times.

Objective , more than ever

We have sixth place which would be very good at the end of the season. It’s a goal. We have to keep it, and to keep it we simply have to win the last three matches. There is no calculation to be made, we must not look at others and above all concentrate on ourselves. We have three important matches. We also need the supporters to be behind us, as always, and even stronger these next three matches. We’re going to need them. We had a lot of victories at Bollaert and it was also partly thanks to our supporters. I hope and I have no doubt that they will be there tomorrow, because it is a very important match. If we are pushed, there is no reason why we cannot do the job.

Efficiency, factor X against Lorient?

We will already have to concentrate on ourselves. We know the opponent, we made video and we know that there is quality in Lorient despite their ranking. But above all, focus on us and be tight and decisive on both surfaces. Be as realistic as possible. »
