Val-d’Oise: start of reconversion for the Dassault Aviation industrial site

The transformation of an industrial site. The elected officials, the mayor (Lr) of Argenteuil (Val-d’Oise), Georges Mothron in the lead, accompanied by his deputies Camille Gicquel and Xavier Péricat, laid the first stone, on March 29, 2024, of the House of artisans in former warehouses of the Dassault company, on Boulevard du Général Delambre.

Led by a young start-up, Lockall, specializing in storage, the project aims to meet the needs of VSEs and craftsmen by offering them “tailor-made” solutions for storing their equipment, while taking advantage of shared work spaces. , according to Alexis de l’Épinethe boss of the company.

“Today, the business real estate model is not adapted to artisans and small businesses; we offer them commercial cells of 300 m2, at prohibitive prices and with leases of 3, 6 or 9 years . 65% of these business creators work from home with accommodation unsuitable for their activity and very strong isolation.”

The opening of the first Maison des Artisans du Val-d’Oise will be done in stages. Storage spaces will be available from May.

The site is scheduled to be launched in October. After opening its first Maisons des artisans in Lognes and Poissy (Yvelines) as well as a storage space in 8^th district of Paris, the start-up launched in 2020 has raised 240 million euros and aims to open fifteen sites in Ile-de-France by 2026. The operation in Argenteuil represents a total investment of 15 million euros.

With 845 storage spaces, more than 80 workshops, related offices, administrative assistance, small logistics, and relaxation areas, the Maison des artisans deploys a range of services over more than 10,000 m². A monthly subscription is offered, to which only the services used are added. Individuals can also use storage space, depending on their needs, with month-to-month rental contracts.
