Could the three calls be made by one and the same person? The prosecution opened an investigation on Sunday April 28, 2024 after threatening calls against a synagogue of Kremlin-Bicetre and Hyper Kosher stores from Paris. The 2nd judicial police district has been contacted, he specifies, confirming information from BFMTV.

Enhanced security

According to the television channel, a man indicated that he was “in possession of a bag filled with explosives” and “wanted to blow up everything in homage to the attack on the Hyper Cacher store at Porte de Vincennes”. The investigation was opened for “threats of serious destruction and false alarm”, specifies the prosecution.

These threats come as the Jewish community celebrates Passover, and amid renewed tension in the Middle East since the attack on Israel by Hamas. Under these conditions, the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, asked the prefects in mid-April to strengthen security around Jewish places of worship.
