Washington – The Moroccan embassy in the United States took part in the Night of Arts in Washington, one of the key events on the cultural agenda of the American federal capital, highlighting the works of Moroccan artist Aziz Kibari .

This year, the embassy highlighted the diversity of Moroccan culture by partnering with the Diplomatic Mission of the African Union to exhibit works that explore themes dear to the artist Kibari, such as simplicity and innocence, through shapes and colors inspired by authentic Moroccan culture.

It was an opportunity to highlight the unique talents of Moroccan artists and their contribution to the African artistic landscape, while allowing Washingtonians to appreciate the fusion of traditional and modern styles that characterizes contemporary Moroccan art.

In a speech for the occasion, the Moroccan ambassador to the United States, Youssef Amrani, underlined that “the holding of such an ephemeral exhibition within the African Union Mission in Washington testifies to the African roots of the Morocco which, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has strengthened its commitment to the promotion of the continent’s culture and heritage.

Alongside the exhibitions, musical performances featuring West African dances and songs offered an immersion in the sounds and rhythms of the continent to visitors to Africa House, headquarters of the African Union Diplomatic Mission in Washington.
