Unionized employees of Quebec libraries are voting on the latest offer submitted by their employer, the Canadian Institute of Quebec. Depending on the result, the strike could continue or end.

Employees represented by the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) union have been on strike since March 1er March.

On April 10, the Institute and the union were presented with a possible settlement after the intervention of a conciliator. However, this was rejected by the City of Quebec on Tuesday, the Institute’s main client and funder.

Further details will follow.
