Alaric Kohler, on behalf of the EcoTransition La Broye association, contests the decision of the Cantonal Court. The latter rejected its appeal against the detailed equipment plan for the Agrico site, which is to accommodate the slaughterhouse.

Saint-Aubinois Alaric Kohler announces in a press release that he will file an appeal with the Federal Court in the context of the file concerning the poultry slaughterhouse project on the Agrico site in Saint-Aubin. The citizen acts on behalf of the EcoTransition La Broye association, a fervent opponent of the Micarna company’s project. He contests the recent decision of the Friborg cantonal court, which rejected his appeal.

Alaric Kohler is tackling the building permit granted by the Broye Prefecture to the Cantonal Land Promotion Establishment for the detailed equipment plan for the Agrico site in Saint-Aubin. This type of plan concerns infrastructure (roads, water supply, purification, etc.). The cantonal judges consider that the appellant does not have the standing required to file an opposition. They also consider the appeal to be ill-founded, which is why they rejected it.

The Saint-Aubinois citizen is not at all of the same opinion. “It would therefore no longer be enough to be wronged to assert one’s democratic rights, but it would also be necessary to provide proof that one is wronged more than others?” asks Alaric Kohler. Among the many grievances expressed, he points out the multiplication of land planning procedures in this matter and especially expects answers to these questions on the future slaughterhouse.
